Hi Christine,
I posted your request on website. I have no idea how much support there is for this endeavor. Here in Canada many are not in support of this war, but people seem frightened by the terrorists who have inhabited Iraq since the war began. There is plenty of info on TV portraying the terrorist agenda - highly flavored by the American media. I'm sure that you get another version in the Philippines, and this campign certainly will cause us to reflect. The election of Hamas in Palestine, and the Muslim demonstrations resulting from the cartoon fiasco are front and centre on the News, and are much discussed on call-in radio. My reading, however, is that people are genuinly afraid that all of this is definitely out of control, but are stymied when it comes to positions or answers. They fear for their own peace, their own families, and their own lifestyle.

What a mess! There is a general distrust of the media, I think. And, a large percentage dis-trust George Bush, I believe. But, if one listens to talk radio, there seems to be alot of people who favor the present situation now that Iraq has been invaded.

Anyway, your request causes one to think, and to realize that we must work and pray for solutions to this horrible situation in which so many suffer. A situation that seriously jopardizes world stability, and has the potential to lead to even more war and more suffering- possibly Global conflict.

God Bless and thanks,
Fr. Bob
